I'm the photographer for families who want their images to be more than a moment captured—they want a legacy preserved. As a parent, I understand the need to document the tiny details: the way their little hands curl around yours, the curve of their button nose, the soft laugh that fills a room, the way their personality shines through in those small and ever-changing facial expressions.

These are the portraits that turn a house into a home, you can't help but smile as you pass them each morning. While the house will eventually grow quiet, this artwork ensures that the magic of their childhood and this beautiful, messy season of life remains preserved on your walls to be cherished every single day.

The Process

The Pre-Session Consultation

This is a special 30min meeting with featured photographer and artist, Brittanie at the Eagleton Photography studio. At this appointment, Brittanie will get to know you better and will guide you through your portrait options. This first conversation allows you to ask any question you may have about the Eagleton Photography experience. We will gather information about your family’s style and your home décor, as well as areas this new commissioned portrait could hang in your home. Then we will suggest the perfect setting and location for your family. Together you will plan a perfect session, and she will recommend wardrobe selections. We book your session and a retainer deposit is made.

The Session

Get ready for one of the highlights of your year! For your session you will meet with Brittanie at the studio/ chosen outdoor location. Family and children's sessions average 1-2 hours, though Brittanie will photograph as long as it takes to get the perfect shots. It can be shorter or longer depending on the ease of the flow of the session and ages of your children. Brittanie will capture individual images of each family member, as well as family group portraits in several poses and combinations. Also, she will catch casual, not posed looks and create a combination of classic images as well as more storytelling ones.

The Reveal

At our reveal and ordering appointment scheduled 1-2 weeks after your session, you will be able to view your images for the first time. After watching a slideshow of your stunning photos, Brittanie will guide you through the selection process and help you pick frames and finishes that will work best for the images and your home décor. The reveal and ordering appointment is the time where you will decide which images you would like to purchase and finalize your order. All decision makers need to be present for this one (and don't forget to keep the tissues on hand!)
